A man from Atmore died in a fiery wreck on Tuesday night in Marengo County.Â
According to a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, James E. Phillips, 61, was driving a 1995 Nissan pickup that left the roadway, struck a concrete culvert before overturning and catching fire.
The wreck took place on U.S. 43 near the 101 mile marker, approximately one mile south of Dixon Mills.Â
