Next month the Selma Public Library will host a book signing by Julian McPhillips, who authored “Only In Alabama: More Colorful True Stories from a Lawyer’s Life.”
McPhillips was born in Birmingham and grew up in Cullman. He was a Wall Street lawyer in the 1970s before coming back to Alabama as Assistant Attorney General under Bill Baxley.
McPhillips’ book covers true stories from throughout the state, including some related to F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and Helen Keller.
The book signing will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the library, located at 1103 Selma Ave.
