Four Auburn University graduates will be honored by the Auburn Alumni Association at the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Awards dinner and ceremony on Feb. 26 along with the Young Alumni Achievement Award winner.
Their recognition at the ceremony was described as the "highest honor"Â to have at the university.Â
James "Jim" Bullington graduated in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in science and literature. He went on to become and ambassador, beginning his career in wartime Vietnam and then in multiple countries afterwards.Â
Maj. James "Jim" Hoskins earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1981 before joining the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1994 and joined Scitor Corp, an engineering services organization.Â
William "Bill" R. McNair graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1968. He is now the retired vice president of Network Operations, BellSouth.
Anita Gentle Newcomb earned a degree in accountancy, with honors, from Auburn in 1976. She served for 20 years as president of A.G. Newcomb & Co. and is and independent board director for the Luther Burbank Corp.
Dr. Erin Kristin McCreary, who received the Auburn Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Achievement Award, graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015 from the Harrison School of Pharmacy.
