Bama Kids is hosting an acting camp this week for the ninth year with Broadway actors working with students in Wilcox County.
Eight Zara Aina Share Life artists will come to Camden to work with 60 kids and put on a show on June 28.Â
The professional actors are Ariana Raygoza, Deychen Volino-Gyetsa, Samantha Siegel, Caroline Grogan, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Tina Canady, Marx Jones and Andrés López-Alicea.
The project is made possible by Kate Schutt, The Schutt Family, and the Alabama Arts Council.
The project began in 2013 when NY-based singer-songwriter, Kate Schutt, brought a group of New York actors to the Black Belt before they'd make a trip to work with kids in Madagascar. Zara Aina has created shows with hundreds of kids ages 3-18.Â
