A man from Brundidge has been sentenced to more than 12 years for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to an announcement from Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas, Narcotic Lieutenant Carlton Bean testified that he bought "one ounce on each buy on two separate days" from Michael Sanford, 54.

"This was a huge win and a very substantial case for our citizens and law enforcement to get him off our streets and into prison," said Thomas. "This sentence stops him from selling drugs to so many in our county and surrounding areas."

The announcement stated that six more drug and gun cases are pending. These are:

Joseph Douglas Lightfoot

Xavier Burks

Timothy Wambles

Dominique "Hot Sauce" Willis

Sonya Roy
