The Choctaw County Tigers edged by the Marengo County Panthers 37-36 on Tuesday to end Marengo’s three-game winning streak.
Top players for Choctaw included Tyshawn Carlisle who scored 11 points and got eight rebounds and three steals. Johnny Grice Jr. got six points and five rebounds, according to Maxpreps.
The Marengo County Lady Panthers took down the Choctaw County Tigers 52-28 in a solid conference win in Dixon Mills on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers now have a record of 9-3, while Choctaw County’s Lady Tigers dropped to 3-10.
Choctaw County reported their top performer as Kamya Straight on Maxpreps.Â
Marengo plays Shields on Jan. 10 followed by Greensboro on Jan. 14.
