A Selma Christmas tradition is about to change venues.

The Christmas Tree Riverwalk will now be on Broad Street and be the Christmas Tree Winter Walk, according to Selma Dallas County Family Resource Center Executive Director James Thomas.

There will be a Light Up Selma ceremony Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. and the Christmas Tree Winter Walk will be Dec. 5 at 11 a.m.

For the past four years, the Family Resource Center has lit up Butterfly Park with Christmas trees that are sponsored by local businesses. Because the park is undergoing renovations, the Christmas Trees have to be displayed somewhere else.
