Judson College

City of Marion is hosting a “soft opening and kickoff presentation” of the next iteration of the former Judson College campus that they are calling the Atlas Complex in a ceremony on Monday.

The event will take place at 302 Bibb Street in Marion at noon.

The complex will house projects that involve innovation and research and will create jobs and provide economic opportunities, the city said in a statement.

“This initiative represents more than a development, it is a commitment to the future of Marion,” said Mayor Dexter Hinton in the statement. “We are creating pathways for growth, innovation and sustainability that will benefit our citizens for generations to come.”

The city is inviting residents, stakeholders and community partners to attend the Monday announcement and learn more the Atlas Complex.

Access to certain areas of the campus and facilities will be limited during the initial phase, but attendees will hear from project leaders and gain insight into the impact this development will have on the city’s future.
