The City of Montgomery will host Back-to-School Bash for families and their children on Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl.

Collaborating with C.H.A.N.G.E., Ty Talks, and Young Men on a Mission, the Parks and Recreation Department will give away grade-specific school supply packs while supplies last to children who present with a parent or guardian after registering to receive school supplies and backpacks.

There will be interactive games, inflatables, free food, giveaways, and prize raffles along with community partners and local vendors offering information after-school programs, tutoring, youth mentoring, and health and wellness resources.

“The Back-to-School Bash is all about supporting our youth and helping families get excited about the upcoming school year,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brandon Dean. “We’re proud to partner with others to create a fun, welcoming event that brings the community together.”

A statement from the City of Montgomery said that the event will feature expanded activity zones and an increased school supply distribution in order to "ease" the transition to school for students.

“Our focus is on uplifting Montgomery’s future by ensuring every child has the resources they need to thrive,” said Mayor Steven L. Reed. “Events like this create real opportunities—especially for families in communities that have too often been overlooked.”

The Multiplex at Cramton Bowl is located at 220 Hall Street.
