Downtown Selma

The Coalition of Concerned Families (CCF) will hold a candidates forum in Selma on April 2. 

The following have been confirmed to appear at the forum: 

  • Dallas County Sheriff candidates
  • State Senator Rob Stewart
  • State House Representative Prince Chestnut

CCF will offer these two questions to the candidates: 

What is the most pressing issue in Dallas County concerning the office you are seeking, and how will you address this issue?

In your official capacity, where will you lead Dallas County in the next four to six years - and how? Tell us what to look for at the end of your term.

Afterwards, citizens may submit their own questions to the moderator. 

The schedule will be as follows: 

4:45 p.m. - Doors open for candidate setup

5:15 p.m. - Doors open to public

5:30 p.m. - Mix and mingle

5:50 p.m. - Written questions will be taken from citizens

5:55 p.m. - Prayer and welcome

6 p.m. - 7 p.m. 

7 p.m. - State of the Senate

7:15 p.m. - State of the House

7:30 p.m. - Mix and mingle

The forum will be held at 1018 Water Avenue.
