The Family Guidance Center of Alabama and Community Violence Intervention Save Our Streets Program is hosting Come Hoop, Don't Shoot to promote nonviolence on Saturday, July 26. 

The event will feature a backpack giveaway powered by MBK Academy while supplies last. 

Neighborhood teams of ages 16 and up are wanted. Registration is free.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chisholm Community Center on 545 E Vandiver Blvd.
