An announcement from the Alabama Department of Public Health stated that drive-up testing for COVID-19 will be offered at First Missionary Baptist Church of White Hall on June 25.

The department’s announcement notes that symptoms of COVID-19 or coronavirus consist of the following: cough or shortness of breath, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

According to the announcement, those who are eligible for testing should meet a criteria:

  • Persons with symptoms
  • Healthcare facility workers, workers in congregate living settings, and first responders with symptoms
  • Persons without symptoms who have underlying medical conditions or disability placing them at a higher risk of complications or screening of other asymptomatic individuals based on a case by case review and approval by the state health department or local health jurisdiction.

The church is located at 546 Oak Drive in Lowndesboro. Testing will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Clients are requested to make an appointment by calling 334-548-2564.
