Tomorrow the Dallas County Family Resource Center will host a criminal expungement clinic with its partner, Legal Services Alabama (LSA), at Tabernacle Baptist Church.Â
The event is part of a series of criminal expungement clinics titled "The Road to Redemption". Attorneys from LSA will be at the church to "certain misdemeanor charges" at no cost, according to a press release.Â
"Expungements are especially important during our current eviction crisis, as even minor criminal records can impact a person’s ability to find stable and quality housing," the press release states.Â
Attorneys will also be able to help will filling out Emergency Rental Assistance applications and talk about housing options.Â
The clinic will be held outside of the church building, with intake tents to be set up in order to allow for social distancing. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.Â
Tabernacle Baptist Church is located at 1431 Broad Street in Selma.Â
