Dallas County Schools is taking applications to fill in the role of superintendent held by Hattie Shelton.Â
Requirements for the position state that the applicant should have or be eligible for certification and at least hold a master's degree.
They must have at least five years experience in public schools and at least three years of experience in school administration in the last five years.Â
The salary range is $132,000 to $135,000 but is negotiable based on track record and experience.Â

The deadline for application is April 17. Interviews will be conducted on May 2 to 10, followed by the chosen superintendent's start date in June. Â
