The Ellwood Christian Academy Eagles hosted the Breakthrough Charter Academy Broncos on Friday night in Selma. The Eagles recognized their seniors on their last regular season home game.
The Lady Eagles got off to a quick 12-2 run and they never looked back or gave up the lead. The Lady Eagles pulled off the 49-27 victory against the Lady Broncos. A. Fortier led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 33 points. Z. Marshall finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds. K. Hamner led the Lady Broncos in scoring with 15 points.
The varsity boys matchup was a little more intense as both the Eagles and the Broncos went back and forth during the first half of the game. The Eagles came out in the second half more focused to put the Broncos away. The Eagles defeated the Broncos 54-46. K. Munford led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points. J. Pratt and X. Franklin both finished with 13 points a piece. J. King led the Broncos in scoring with 14 points.
