Morgan Academy’s girls tennis team won the AISA State Championship at the tournament in Montgomery on Tuesday.Â
They beat Tuscaloosa Warriors for the title.
Morgan girls tennis team winners are Emma Jones, Martha Ann Beers, Kylie Calame, Mary Emily Frazer and Sarah Brech and their coach is Baxter Stinson.Â
In the singles competition, Morgan girls swept second through fifth place with Martha Ann Beers in second, Emma Jones in third, Mary Emily Frazer in fourth and Sarah Brech in fifth.
In boys singles, Lane Osborn came in fourth place.
Morgan’s doubles teams swept that category with Kylie Calame and Martha Ann Beers taking home first place and Emma Jones and Mary Emily Frazer coming in second.
