The Southside High School Panthers traveled to Dothan on Saturday evening to face the Houston Academy Raiders in the Class 3A sub-regional round of the playoffs.Â
The Raiders got off to a quick start making it hard for the Panthers catch up and recover. Although the Panthers attempted to chip away at the lead, the Raiders were able to get the 73-60 victory over the Panthers to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
A. Davis led the Panthers in scoring with 12 points. A. Towns finished with 11 points and D. Surles and A. Smith both added 10 points a piece. K. Mitchell led the Raiders in scoring with 28 points and G. Glover finished with 19 points.
The Panthers ended their season 15-8.
