Two former inmates of the Dallas County Jail hosted a community donation under their new roles as community leaders to give needed items to current inmates on President’s Day.
LIFT Ministries founder LaTanglia Williams and Snow’s Cleaning Service owner Lemarkus Snow brought to the jail 200 bars of soap, 10 cases of hand sanitizer, bras, socks, medical cups, latex gloves, and many more items they collected from community leaders and organizations for a day of giving.
LIFT Ministries donates similar items throughout the year, but Williams, who served a short stint at the jail in her younger years that led to her forming LIFT, said these items were donated by various people and organizations in the community, like the hand sanitizer that was donated by Pastor John Grayson of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Selma.
