Edmundite Missions in Selma will hold a blood drive for American Red Cross on Tuesday, July 16.

An infographic by American Red Cross says that there is a blood shortage nationwide and that one donation can save up to three lives. Every two seconds there is a patient that needs blood, it says.

Gift cards and limited edition Red Cross umbrellas will be given to donors.

The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Edmundite's Bullock Center on 1428 Broad Street.
