A father-and-son bass fishing team from Selma is ranking high on the list of teams that could win the Alabama Bass Trail Angler of the Year tournament this Saturday at Cooter’s Pond in Prattville.
ABT Director Kay Donaldson said Mark Mott and his son Justin are one of the teams she picked to do well in the tournament. “They have a great history on the Alabama River,” she said. “They know the Alabama River.”
Mark Mott said, “It’s flattering even to be on their radar.” As for the possibility of becoming Angler of the Year, Mott said, “In this tournament series, that would be the most awesome thing.”
