The final Levitt AMP Selma Music Series was held on Saturday, Oct. 25 and featured Mike Clark, Jr. and FPJ in the lineup.Â
The series has played in Selma for three years. Since then it has seen a growth in attendance from the public, said the City of Selma on social media.Â
"On behalf of the City of Selma, we extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible planning committee and community partners who have elevated this series year after year bringing joy, culture, and unity to Water Avenue and beyond," said a post by the city online.Â
"When this journey began three years ago, Black Belt Community Foundation and TRHT boldly answered our call, joining forces with the City to reimagine what public space activation could look like in Selma. In that short time, usage of the Riverfront Amphitheater has grown by almost 500% in activation and engagement."
The series has featured a variety of musical genres that has always been played for free, including jazz, soul, country, R&B and others.Â
