A motorcyclist from Fort Deposit was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning. 

According to a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Daniel M. Gafford, 40, was operating a 2020 Massimo motorcycle that struck a 2026 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Robin A. Moore, 46, of Luverne. 

The crash caused Gafford to be thrown from the motorcycle and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash reportedly took place on Lowndes County 79 near U.S. 31, approximately four miles east of Fort Deposit.
