Graphic design artist intern to serve as ArtsRevive programming director

Winfred Hawkins is serving as program director for ArtsRevive under a new grant.

ArtsRevive has hired a grant-funded paid intern who will serve as programming director for the organization for the next two years.

Winfred Hawkins of Montgomery is a graphic design artist who graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Hawkins “brings a lot of talent to the table” and is “very good at teaching with our students,” according to ArtsRevive Executive Director Becky Youngblood.

Youngblood said Hawkins will help with several events, including the 19th Annual Roots and Wings Art Show (April 1-19), the 43rd Annual Kathryn Tucker Windham Tale Tellin’ Festival, the Ninth Annual Tale Tellin’ in the Schools event and the Second Annual Selma Photographic Nights event.
