The HBCU Tailgate Tour will stop in Montgomery today and tomorrow to host vaccination events as part of the "Risk Less. Do More." campaign from the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
"This multi-campus tour is an experiential celebration of HBCU culture that will make eight stops at campuses throughout the country," said a recent press release.
Adults can get updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines information on flu, respiratory syncytial virus, and COVID-19 among fans, students, and alumni during the fall season.
The event will feature:
- Live DJ and music
- Complimentary Games & Activities
- Health & Wellness Seminars (at select locations)
- On-Site Vaccination Activations
- On-Site Healthy Food Samples
- Health education resources
The first event today will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the front lawn of the Alabama State University (ASU) Health Center (1st Floor of Simpson Hall), 915 University Dr. N, in Montgomery.
The second will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at “Hornet Mile” outside of ASU Stadium.
