Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church and Historic Tabernacle Legacy Foundation will hold a tribute to the foot soldiers of the voting rights movement in the 1960s this Friday, Aug. 6. from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Â
Titled "Tributes to Voting Rights Foot Soldiers and the Voting Rights Act of 1965", the program will be held at the church's sidewalk and monumental steps on 1431 Broad Street.Â
The public is invited to attend. Dr. Otis Dion Culliver serves as senior pastor and Dr. Verdell Lett Dawson serves as board chairman.Â
