Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama will celebrate its 20th anniversary in May following recent investments in Montgomery with the opening of the Care Center and TOOTRiS program.

The Care Center is a $14 million project that opened on Feb. 12 to provide health and wellness to employees, including on-site medical services, physical therapy, emergency response, fitness resources, and a team wear store.

The TOOTRiS program began in March and provides employees with children under 13 with a 25% or $150 monthly stipend to cover childcare costs, as well as a network of accredited childcare providers.

“These investments show HMMA’s deep commitment to its workforce,” said Anna Buckalew, President and CEO of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. “Providing access to high-quality healthcare and childcare solutions not only enhances employee well-being but also strengthens retention and recruitment. Hyundai understands what today’s workforce needs and is taking meaningful steps to support them.”

HMMA was established in Montgomery in 2002.
