An interactive version of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" by the Tiger Arts Guild will let the audience play put twists and turns on the narrative at Demopolis High School on Sept. 18 and 20 and Sept. 21.

Titled "Romeo and Juliet Extravaganza" audience members are cast as Capulets and Montagues at random and are prompted by narrators representing the rival families.

"The cast first performs an abridged micro version of the original story of the two star-crossed lovers," said a press release from Demopolis City Schools. "Then the mischievous narrators create their own Romeo and Juliet Extravaganza! by altering major plot points in the story with “What if?” questions. What if the Montagues and Capulets liked each other? What if Romeo never met Juliet?"

The audience will have an opportunity to vote on a happy or tragic ending.

Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at gofan.co.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 20, and at 2 p.m. on Sept. 21.
