The Pihakis Restaurant Group has opened its Little Donkey location in downtown Montgomery weeks after opening its Hero donut shop, said a recent announcement from Equal Justice Initiative (EJI).

Located at 378 N Perry Street, Little Donkey is a combination of Mexican cuisine and American Southern cooking. It was placed close to the Legacy Museum and Legacy Plaza to provide more eatery options in the area, said the announcement.

“We are extremely excited to create new lunch and dinner options in downtown Montgomery. Little Donkey will bring an exciting menu to visitors and local residents,” said Bryan Stevenson, EJI Executive Director. “We are delighted to work with the Pihakis Group on this project and look forward to seeing folks at Little Donkey.”

Little Donkey will open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with lunch and dinner menus.
