Lowndes County Athletics will hold the inaugural Big John Williams Hardwood Classic on Jan. 19 between Central-Hayneville High School and Calhoun.Â
The event is named in honor of Lowndes County Sheriff John "Big John" Williams, who was killed in 2019.Â
Representatives from the Big John Williams Scholarship Fund will be there to take donations. There is a $10 fee for entry.Â
Tipoff begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Central-Hayneville High School gym.Â
