Recipients of Legal Services Alabama (LSA) have announced the recipients of its Justice, Fairness & Hope Awards. 

“Each award recipient has demonstrated their commitment to advancing access to justice in Alabama and reflect the leadership of the three individuals for whom the awards are named—Tommy Wells, Taze Shepard and John Lewis,” said LSA Executive Director Guy Lescault.

  • Judge Myron Thompson will receive the Tommy Wells Access to Justice Award.
  • Tom Perry and Tom Heflin from Harvesters of Hope will receive the Taze Shepard Pro Bono Fairness Award.
  • State Senator Vivian Figures will receive the John Lewis Hope Award.

Chief Justice Sarah Stewart and former Sen. Doug Jones will present awards.

LSA’s Seventh Annual Justice, Fairness, & Hope Awards luncheon will be held at 12 p.m. on May 7 at the RSA Activity Center on 201 Dexter Ave Montgomery.
