The Marion City Council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.Â
Among the items on the agenda is the acceptance of Marion Police Chief Tony Bufford's resignation and to advertise for the position. A reason for the resignation was not given on social media.Â
Others include a UEC Rebuild Alabama grant paving contract, a service truck loan, insurance premium finance agreement and other items.Â

Marion City Hall is located at 123 E. Jefferson Street. Regular council meetings take place on the first and third Mondays of every month.
