A man from Marion died in a traffic accident on Thursday night, said a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).Â
According to the report Barry E. Moore, 42, of Marion, lost his life when the 2010 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree before catching fire.
"Moore, who was not using a seat belt at the time, was not immediately identified on scene, however, was pronounced deceased," said the report. "Moore’s body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS), where his identity was later confirmed."
The crash reportedly took place around 11:3 a.m. on Perry County 23 near Perry County 20 approximately three miles west of Marion.Â
