Marion Military Institute (MMI) has announced several updates on the ongoing renovations taking place on campus.

The first was MMI's new dining hall facility, which broke ground in February this year. The $10 million project is now 70% complete and is expected to open in October, said the MMI Facebook page.

MMI has begun a $5 million barracks renovation, with funds from the state and from Alabama Community College System or ACCS appropriation.

Upgrades to the golf course are continuing with the enlargement of the pond, adding drainage and improving bunkers.

An upgrade to the electrical system will take place, which will be taken over by Alabama Power and funded by the MMI Foundation.
