Meadowview Elementary School Principal Chimeria Evans has been nominated for a national recognition program for educators who are making a difference in the lives of students.
Evans was nominated as a LifeChanger of the Year, sponsored and run by National Life Group, a financial services company that serves K-12 educators nationwide that offers cash prizes to winners and their schools.
Her colleague Rita Carmichael nominated her for the award, which recognizes educators for “making a significant difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership,” according to the award’s website.
"Ms. Evans is such an important part of our school family, school district and community,” Carmichael says on the LifeChanger website. “She helps to maintain success, and she makes sure that her teachers have high standards when working with our children. She has created such a positive atmosphere among our staff, parents and GameChangers (our scholars)."
