Memorial for Autherine Lucy Foster to be held at University of Alabama on March 24

A memorial service for Autherine Lucy Foster, the University of Alabama's (UA), first Black student will be held on campus on Thursday, March 24 at 11 a.m. 

Foster made her mark in the university's history by helping to desegregate it despite opposition from other students during that time. 

Before enrolling at UA she received her collegiate at Selma University.
