The Montgomery City Council will hear the proposed Fiscal Year 2024 budget during a work session on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. 

The budget proposes a increase in salaries and merit raises for city employees. According to an announcement from the city, a pay study was performed and completed in April to determine the feasibility of pay raises. 

The agenda for the work session also includes entering into a warranty program in regards to water and sewer services, allocating funds to hospitals to mitigate the effects of the COVID pandemic, widening and resurfacing Perry Hill Road from Harrison Road to Atlanta Highway, and others.

The meeting will be held at City Hall on 103 North Perry Street.
