The Montgomery County District Attorney's Cold Case Unit is asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a teenager from Tuskegee in 2023. 

Jordan Lashelle Fitzpatrick, 15, was reported missing on March 22, 2023 but was later found dead an positively identified on Sept. 25 this year. 

"Police found her remains in the back of a building in the 2300 block of Poplar Street in Montgomery on August 18, 2023, but were unable to identify her as her body was extensively burned," said Montgomery County DA Azzie Oliver in a statement. "Based on the findings of the autopsy, police ruled the then unidentified victim’s cause of death as a homicide."

Fitzpatrick was identified after a DNA analysis.
