Downtown Montgomery

A special election to fill the currently vacant District 3 seat on the Montgomery City Council is being held today. 

The seat was previously held by Marche Johnson until it was found that she apparently did not reside in the district. The seat was declared vacant and Johnson filed a lawsuit against the city in late June. 

15 qualified candidates now vie for the position:

  • Steven Lambert
  • Robert Marcus

  • Michelle Summers

If necessary a runoff election will be held on Oct. 13. Polling locations can be found here.
