Roger Mask, a member of the Montgomery Fire/Rescue, was honored as Firefighter of the Year by the SERVPRO team at the first Annual Camelia Bowl at Crampton Bowl.

A post on the Facebook page for the Montgomery Fire/Rescue said that there was an incident in which mask retrieved his equipment and was able to provide assistance.

"His selfless act helped to bring closure for a family and demonstrated the pride and resiliency he has for his department and community," said the post.

Mask's actions were commemorated during the first quarter of the event, which took place on Dec. 23.
