Montgomery firefighters put a stop to a house that caught fire on Joryne Drive on Monday.Â
An announcement from Montgomery Fire/Rescue stated that Engine 3, Engine 11, Truck 45, Rescue 95, and Car 34 were dispatched to the scene where a one-story house was fully engulfed in flames.Â
"Crews initiated a defensive fire attack and worked together to achieve a quick, efficient knockdown before moving inside," said the announcement.Â
No one was inside the house when firefighters conducted a search after the blaze was put out. A homeowner was evaluated for shortness of breath but otherwise there were no injuries, the announcement reported.Â
"Outstanding teamwork by all responding personnel," it said. "Every response is a reminder of the dedication and professionalism our firefighters bring to the citizens of Montgomery."
The cause of the fire continues to be investigated.Â
