The Montgomery Fire & Rescue's Blue Combat Challenge Team was honored with a proclamation read by Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed during a council meeting on Tuesday night.Â
The proclamation noted the team's wins as they have won six World Championship titles in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2025.Â
They have also won "numerous regional victories and multiple" U.S. National Championships.
"Their dedication, discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence reflect the very best of Montgomery Fire & Rescue," said Chief Russell Collier. "We are incredibly proud of these firefighters for representing our department and the City of Montgomery with professionalism, integrity, and championship caliber performance."
Collier also presented the team with World Championship Rings at the meeting.Â
