A man Montgomery was killed in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 82 in Bullock County on Wednesday morning.Â
A report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) stated that the victim was Guadalupe Hernandez-Gomez, 39.Â
Hernandez-Gomez was killed when the 2005 Toyota 4Runner he was driving collided head-on with the 2020 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer driven by Rashad Antwane Peters, 35, of Fort Gaines, GA.Â
Hernandez-Gomez was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said. Peters was injured and transported to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery for treatment.
The accident took place on on U.S. 82 near mile marker 213, approximately five miles east of Midway in Bullock County.
