A man from Montgomery is facing a number of charges related to theft and fleeing after he reportedly led police on a car chase in Auburn.Â
According to WAKA, the incident began on Tuesday when police responded to a report of a car burglary in the 1700 block of South College Street.Â
The suspect, later identified as Cadarius Perry, 29, allegedly stole items from the victim's car before leaving. Police then located Perry near the 2500 block of Buc-ee’s.Â
Officers attempted to stop Perry in his vehicle but he reportedly fled, initiating a chase that took them along I-85 South and ended when Perry crashed into police cars near mile marker 41.Â
He was caught after attempting to flee on foot. Police later found evidence that connected him to two other burglaries committed that day.Â
Perry faces three counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle, two counts of theft of property in the second degree, fleeing, attempting to elude, and theft of property in the third degree.
