Trew the Star

Trew the Star, a native of Montgomery, earned a golden ticket from the famed talent show American Idol during a recent audition. 

According to WAKA, the 25-year-old sang a cover of “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke.

He reportedly auditioned for American Idol three times before being able to appear before the judges, Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.
