Montgomery officer awarded commendations for lifesaving efforts

An officer from the Montgomery Police Department (MPD) has been awarded multiple commendations, including one for his actions that proved lifesaving.  

Officer Alan Silva was the recipient of the MPD's Medal of Valor, Lifesaving Medal, Commendation Ribbon, and the Police Officer of the Year Award. 

Silva given the Lifesaving Medal for his efforts in a situation involving the Montgomery Fire/Rescue Department. 

"Officer Silva's heroic and selfless actions during a dangerous house fire led to the rescue of multiple first responders, demonstrating his exceptional bravery and dedication to duty," said MPD's social media.
