The Montgomery Regional Airport has received more than $8.5 million to rehabilitate its runway.
“I'm thrilled to see our community receive significant federal support and investment with over $8.5 million in federal funding,” said Rep. Shomari Figures, who made the announcement.
“The Montgomery Regional Airport is essential to our local, state and regional economy, and this funding will help to make necessary infrastructure updates to improve conditions at the airport and ensure its long-term viability.”
The Department of Transportation granted $8,506,686 to rehabilitate the more than 9,000 feet runway, said the announcement.
