The Montgomery Regional Airport - MGM recently unveiled what was said to be the first electric aircraft charger in Alabama.
The charger will reportedly be more environmentally friendly. The unveiling was attended by city, state and county officials, including Montgomery County Commissioner Doug Singleton.
MGM Director Wade A. Davis released the following statement on social media.
“The successful commissioning of the Beta Technologies electric aircraft charger marks a significant milestone for the Montgomery Regional Airport, and your attendance made this occasion even more special. Your interest and engagement demonstrated your commitment to sustainable aviation solutions, and we are honored to have individuals like you supporting our initiatives.
As we continue to work towards pioneering innovations in eco-friendly aviation, your ongoing support remains invaluable. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and future endeavors in the realm of sustainable aviation.”
