The City of Montgomery is inviting residents to provide feedback for the Parks and Recreation Department tonight at 6 p.m.Â
Citizens of the city, the county and the town of Pike Road can attend the public open house workshop for the Parks and Recreation master plan at two locations being held at the same time.Â
One will be at Chisholm Community Center on 545 E Vandiver Blvd and the other will be held at the Gateway Park Lodge on 3800 Davenport Drive.Â

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for Central Alabama, which is in effect from
Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.
* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass and windy
conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
