(The Center Square) – U.S. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is demanding former President Joe Biden's senior White House advisers sit for transcribed interviews about Biden's declining mental acuity and who was making decisions for the country.

In letters sent separately to Biden's top five advisers, Comer noted the investigation into "the role of former senior White House officials in possibly usurping authority from former President Joe Biden and the ramifications of a White House staff intent on hiding his rapidly worsening mental and physical faculties."

Congressional investigators seek "to understand who made key decisions and exercised the powers of the executive branch during the previous administration, possibly without former President Biden’s consent. The Committee requests your testimony to evaluate your eye-witness account of former President Biden’s decline," the letters, obtained by Just the News, continued.

The letters were sent to former senior advisor to the president Michael Donilon, former senior advisor to the president for Communications Anita Dunn, former Chief of Staff Ron Klain, former Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Bruce Reed, and former counselor to the president Steve Ricchetti.

Family and staff close to Biden have been accused of colluding to cover up his mental decline, which was evidenced during his June 2024 debate last summer against now President Donald Trump. Questions about the president’s mental decline largely were swept aside by the mainstream media and top Democrats until the debate. Many insisted Biden was "sharp" and on top of his game until that debate, which led to the former president dropping out of the race, The Center Square previously reported.
