Drilling begins at suspected Noah’s Ark site in Turkey

A team has begun drilling at a site it believes may be Noah's Ark.

The Noah's Ark Scans team said it has permits to excavate at the long-debated Durupinar formation, a remote, boat-shaped mound in eastern Turkey, located 29 kilometers south of Mount Ararat.

In biblical terms, Noah's Ark is the vessel that, according to the Book of Genesis, Noah built to survive a catastrophic flood.

Lauren Witzke, director of marketing and fundraising for the team, said she believed potential findings could disprove evolution.

Posting from the site on Tuesday, Sept. 22, she wrote: "Core drilling has begun and the Big Bang Evolutionists are already on damage control mode.

"When we are done, university curriculums will need to be re-written, and Darwinism will be dismantled. This is the place where creation began anew."

In an online call for funding, the team said radar had already mapped what looked like corridors and chambers under the surface, including one hallway that ran more than 250 feet.

It explained that the next step was to drill narrow cores down into those spaces and send in "Gopher," an underground robot built to go where a person could not.

Lauren Witzke added that no other study in the history of the Durupinar site had been conducted with official permits and oversight from Turkish universities.

She wrote: "Some of the most brilliant minds in the world are a part of this 2026 Expedition. This is the only study that matters.

"Proof of the global catastrophic flood is everywhere. Ocean fossils found on Mount Everest. Sand dollars scattered across the mountains of Eastern Turkey. And the seashells of the Mountains of Ararat haven't even fossilized yet."
